I’m so pleased for the 23 year old and his 43 year old husband.
I’m sure all of my fellow WHO posters will be as delighted as I am that this normal loving couple will be bringing a child into the World.
Skip to 2019 and papers announce they have split.

I have a gay stepson who has been in a committed relationship with his partner (at first a civil partnership, then a marriage when the law changed) for several years. That is longer and more stable than several heterosexual relationships I know of.
At one stage they considered starting a family using a surrogate mother. They could easily have afforded to do so, but they decided that it wasn't right that a child should not be raised without its natural mother because of others' choices, rather than by force of circumstances.
My wife and I have totally accepted their partnership but would find it very hard to accept that they should deprive a baby of its mother.

Chigwell. My daughter is a lesbian and she strongly believes it is wrong for children to be raised by same sex couples. You don't have to be a homophobe or 'old' to feel that way.
I'm pretty neutral on the issue, to be honest.

So if two gay guys can say they are having a baby and are taking the baby away from it's mother and will grow up with two fathers and no mother and someone objects, but the person who objects in our society is considered weird and homophobic then something just is not right.
